About
Private practice can begin to feel heavy even when the work remains meaningful and the practice appears successful. Clinical responsibility, administrative demands, financial pressure, difficult decisions, professional isolation, and responsibilities outside the practice can gradually accumulate until the work feels harder to carry. When Practice Feels Heavy helps you examine what may be contributing to that experience. The course explores the different forms of heaviness that can develop in independent practice and guides you through identifying whether the primary pressure is clinical, operational, financial, relational, structural, or connected to your current capacity. Rather than assuming that the answer is greater resilience or better self-care, the course helps you understand what the heaviness may be communicating about the way the practice is operating. You will be guided through developing a proportional response, which may include changing expectations, adjusting the structure of the practice, strengthening support, or outsourcing appropriate responsibilities.
